About AICTE

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is a statutory body and a National-Level Council responsible for the planning, formulation, and maintenance of standards in the technical education sector in India. AICTE operates under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. AICTE’s primary role is to ensure the proper development of technical education, including undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma courses, across engineering, technology, management and other fields.

AICTE accredits institutions, formulates regulations, and provides guidelines for curriculum development and faculty qualifications. It also aims to improve the quality of education and promote research, innovation, and industry collaboration. Additionally, AICTE facilitates scholarships, financial assistance, and various initiatives to enhance the technical education ecosystem in India.
